Since 2011, I have helped large organisations in many sectors including telecoms, energy, transport, education and local government. The following examples demonstrate my expertise in the areas of strategy and management of digital environments:

Centrica (and British Gas), global energy: I built an intranet with a consistently improved user experience and a successful SharePoint implementation. Researching business requirements and gaining stakeholder approval helped me to develop the strategy, supported by a governance framework with publishing standards, clear responsibilities, training and support.

TeliaSonera, global telecommunications: I recommended a governance framework to support the new strategy and merging of several intranets into one combined intranet. The governance framework included roles and responsibilities, publishing standards, training and education for publishers.

Sheffield City Council, UK local government: I developed a digital workplace strategy, governance framework and information architecture. Interviewing stakeholders helped me to develop requirements and show how to transform the intranet into a digital workplace. I gained their approval for the strategy and its implementation.

Cambridge International Examinations, international education qualifications: I recommended how documents managed in network drives could be moved to SharePoint. By interviewing stakeholders and developing requirements, I showed how to review existing documents, improve knowledge sharing and findability.  A governance framework supported people with training and guidance.

EduNetworks, training provider South Africa: I created and delivered a two-day workshop covering how organisations can develop and implement a strategy and governance framework, designed for the mobile workspace.

As an associate of the Digital Workplace Group I have worked with Shell, Philips, Scottish Government, Standard Chartered and Rabobank amongst many other consulting and benchmarking engagements.

As an associate of ClearBox Consulting I have worked with Avis Budget Group, a global vehicle hire business, to develop a governance framework and information architecture for a new intranet.
